Billy Corgan

Billy Corgan is the lead singer of alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins. The Smashing Pumpkins created such hits as "Today," "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," "Perfect," and "Tarantula." This rock band formed in Chicago over 20 years ago and will release their next album titled "Oceania" in 2012. They just kicked off a new concert tour last week. Check here for concert dates.

Last week I asked Billy what he is currently reading during a Live Nation Q&A.
Billy answered that he is reading Valis by Philip K. Dick. Valis will be released to the public on October 18.
Corgan also mentioned that he is writing a book right now titled God Is Everywhere from Here to There when asked if he would ever release a book.

You can find out more about the Smashing Pumpkins Record Club here.
You can also follow Billy on Twitter.

Here's my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song, "Disarm." (My second fave is their cover of "Landslide.")

I think it's cool that he's writing hisown book. If I were in his shoes, I would definitely want to share my story with other people...I'll watch for his book and the one he recommends. Thanks, Kelly!

I'd like to read his book. It's always interesting to read a rockstar's story. They're all so different.

Anita - It doesn't sound like an autobiography, so will be interesting.
Sam - The night I met you was before a Smashing Pumpkins show in Chicago!
Elana - It is cool to read what creative people are reading.
Suz - Not sure the book he is writing about him. It doesn't sound like it, but it will be a must read!
Julie - I thought the same thing!

Jemi - I find it so interesting to see celeb book picks!

He's reading a book not yet released, writing his own, and on tour? Wow. Remind me not to complain any more about my lack of time. ; )
