Mark Tremonti is one of the greatest guitarists ever. Mark is lead guitar in platinum selling rock band Creed as well as popular rock band Alter Bridge. Mark released his debut solo album titled All I Was with the band Tremonti in July. Total Guitar magazine named Mark as the fourth greatest heavy metal guitarist of all time in 2011. Mark and his brother formed a website and record and production company called FRET 12 in 2008.
Tremonti is an avid reader so I recently asked him a few questions about books.
I asked Mark if he preferred ereaders or traditional books. His answer, "I read the real thing, actual books."
What is Mark's last book read? I also asked him how many books he reads a year.
Tremonti tweeted, "I just finished "My Cross To Bear" by Greg Allman. I probably read about 15 to 20 a yr."
Thank you, Mark! And also big thanks to him as I won a signed PRS Tremonti guitar at his concert recently. Does he rock or what?
Check out a list of Mark's favorite books at the Artist Direct site here.

Roberts is currently filming We're the Millers with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis. Emma also sings and has been featured in the soundtracks for Unfabulous, Aquamarine, and Ice Princess.
What is Emma Roberts reading?
She tweeted Friday night, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was a really fun read. Downloading the movie now."
And on Saturday, "Fahrenheit 451 is absolutely amazing. Can’t put it down! Highly recommend."

Pete Loeffler is the lead singer and guitarist of rock band Chevelle. Chevelle is comprised of two brothers and one brother-in-law. They hail from northeast Illinois (like me!). Chevelle has released six studio albums and have produced many rock hits including "Send the Pain Below" and most recently "Face to the Floor" and "Hats Off to the Bull." I've seen them live three times, and they put on a great show!
I recently asked Pete if he had any book recommendations.
Pete tweeted, "Yes, "Packing for Mars" by Mary Roach."
Packing For Mars Overview from barnesandnoble.com:
Space is a world devoid of the things we need to live and thrive: air, gravity, hot showers, fresh produce, privacy, beer. Space exploration is in some ways an exploration of what it means to be human. How much can a person give up? How much weirdness can they take? What happens to you when you can’t walk for a year? have sex? smell flowers? What happens if you vomit in your helmet during a space walk? Is it possible for the human body to survive a bailout at 17,000 miles per hour? To answer these questions, space agencies set up all manner of quizzical and startlingly bizarre space simulations. As Mary Roach discovers, it’s possible to preview space without ever leaving Earth. From the space shuttle training toilet to a crash test of NASA’s new space capsule (cadaver filling in for astronaut), Roach takes us on a surreally entertaining trip into the science of life in space and space on Earth.
Thanks, Pete! Sounds like a cool book!
