Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor is an amazing talent. Taylor is the lead singer and lyricist of Slipknot and Stone Sour - two multi-platinum rock bands. Both Stone Sour and Slipknot have been nominated for several Grammy awards. Slipknot won a "Best Metal Performance" Grammy in 2006 for "Before I Forget." Other hit tunes by Slipknot include "Psychosocial" and "Snuff." Some of Stone Sour's popular songs are "Bother," "Say You'll Haunt Me," and  "Absolute Zero." Stone Sour's newest album titled House of Gold and Bones Part 2 was released today! Corey was recently featured on Dave Grohl's Sound City album and documentary.

Corey's first book titled Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good was published last year.  Corey also has been writing House of Gold and Bones comic books for Dark Horse comics. Check out the trailer for one here.

What is Corey Taylor reading?

Corey tweeted Friday, "Picked up 'Dancing on the Grave of a Son of a Bitch' by Diane Wakoski today. If you like poetry, I URGE you to read it. Amazing."

April is National Poetry Month, too, so thank you, Corey, for a great book recommendation.

My son and I met Corey at Rockstar Uproar festival a few years ago.
