Mark Tremonti is one of the greatest guitarists ever. Mark was lead guitar in the popular rock band,  Creed and currently lead guitar in hard rock band, Alter Bridge. He is also lead vocals and guitar in his heavier solo band, Tremonti.  Tremonti's next album, A Dying Machine, drops tomorrow! Mark is also writing a sci-fi novel of the same name to go along with his concept album. Multitalented man. Check out Tremonti tour dates here.

Tremonti is an avid reader so I recently asked him on Twitter what his current read was.

What is Mark Tremonti reading?

 

Tremonti responded, "Getting back to finishing 'The Dark Tower.'"

 

The Dark Tower, is of course the novel by Stephen King.

Mark Tremonti is an amazing lead guitarist and singer. Mark is lead guitar in two popular rock bands - Creed and Alter Bridge. He is also lead vocals and guitar in his solo band, Tremonti. Mark Tremonti has won a Grammy with his band, Creed, for "With Arms Wide Open." Total Guitar magazine named Mark as the fourth greatest heavy metal guitarist of all time in 2011. Mark and his brother formed a website and record and production company called FRET 12 in 2008. I've seen all three of his bands live, and I love to watch him shred! Mark released his debut solo album titled All I Was with the band Tremonti in July.  Total Guitar magazine named Mark as the fourth greatest heavy metal guitarist of all time in 2011. Mark and his brother formed a website and record and production company called FRET 12 in 2008.


Tremonti is an avid reader so I recently asked him a few questions about books.

 I asked Mark if he preferred ereaders or traditional books. His answer, "I read the real thing, actual books."

What is Mark's last book read? I also asked him how many books he reads a year.

Tremonti tweeted, "I just finished "My Cross To Bear" by Greg Allman. I probably read about 15 to 20 a yr."

Mark Tremonti is the renowned lead guitarist in two popular rock bands, Creed and Alter Bridge. Both bands have created number one songs including Creed's "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open" which also won a Grammy award in 2001. Alter Bridge's "Isolation" recently topped the charts. Tremonti is incredible live, and plays amazing, memorable riffs. Alter Bridge's song "Blackbird" was named the greatest guitar solo of all time by Guitarist magazine. The man can shred!

I recently asked Tremonti about books.

Mark told me that he is currently reading John Scalzi's Agent to the Stars.

Take a listen to one of Creed's number one hits, "My Sacrifice." When my son was 3, it was his turn to pick a song to sing with the group during sing along time in a Mom & Me class. Others chose "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" or "The Wheels on the Bus." My son sang this song by himself.
